About

Rhonda resides in Colorado with her husband and her very spoiled Fox Face Pomeranian, Roscoe. They escape to their Arizona home frequently.

Her love of writing took flight at the tender age of four when she was caught writing with her crayons on the knotty pine walls of the family home. Throughout her childhood, her love of writing carried her through hundreds of hours in her room discovering the beauty of words, oftentimes floating in a fishing boat on the lake writing poetry. In her teens, she tested her hand at journalism by writing several articles for the city newspaper about school events. Later, she completed a Journalism/Short Story Writing course and was a stringer for a local newspaper. That’s when she knew it was writing fiction that captivated her. She wrote two novels by hand, still tucked away in boxes, that will never see the light of day.

Writing and helping others live their writing dream are both passions of hers, so she also provides coaching and consulting services to those who choose the indie author path.

She is a member of Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers, Sisters in Crime-National, Guppies Chapter of Sisters in Crime, Sisters in Crime Desert Sleuth Chapter, and Immediate Past President of Sisters in Crime-CO Chapter. She was awarded the 2022 Excellence in Literary Arts award from the Brighton Chamber.

Recently retired from the Adams County District Attorney’s Office, she can now be found hibernating in a coffee shop or her home office creating characters, settings, and stories, occasionally emerging for coffee and dark chocolate.
