Happy Fall!

To say I love autumn is an understatement. A HUGE one! But since fall goes so fast, starting early makes it last longer. 🙂 Pumpkin spice everything; sweaters; hoodies; fingerless writing gloves; the smell of leaves and the sound as they crunch beneath my feet when I walk or run; the changing colors in nature; the fireplace, a good book, and a cup of tea; a season to hunker in my office/study and get back on track with my writing routine…Literally, all of it!  This is the season with craft fairs, too. I love participating in them and meeting readers. At past craft fairs, I’ve heard a child call out, “Mom, the book lady is here!” And “Oh, good, you’re here! I want to get the next book!” And a reader praising a book to another “looker.” These are all moments that make the not-so-good pale in comparison. Last year was the first year I didn’t have a new release out, but it was still fun because of the readers. This year I have Inn the Spirit of Murder, book one in the Spirit Lake Mysteries. Book two, Inn the Dead of Winter, is on the horizon. Read to the end of the newsletter for an opportunity to get the ebook for free. My next craft fair will be the Adams County Fall Festival on Saturday, October 5th,  9755 Henderson Rd, Brighton. If you’re in the area, please stop by my table and chat.

Want a free ebook? All you need to do is shoot me an email at rhondablackhurst@gmail.com and I’ll send you a free ebook of Inn the Spirit of Murder in exchange for a review on Amazon and/or Goodreads. Not a drawing where you only have a chance for a free ebook, but you will receive it. If you love mysteries, you can’t go wrong.

Stay tuned for an upcoming cover reveal for book 2 in the series, Inn the Dead of Winter!
