It’s so hard to believe that there are only four days left in June! When I was younger, I poo-pooed the saying “Time goes faster as you get older.” In my young brain, time was time, and it was the same for everyone.
Not So!
The older I get, the faster time slips through my fingers, one day disappearing into the next and into the next… Oy Vey! Lucky cats get nine lives–LOL!

Last month, I was invited to participate in an author reading at BCACÂ Literary Circus where I read an excerpt from my upcoming release, Inn the Spirit of Murder. Public speaking isn’t my thing, so I was surprised at how much fun I had alongside a dear short story-writing friend, Francelia Belton, and Adams County Poet Laureate, Kerrie Joy. It was an amazing opportunity to get outside my comfort zone and connect with other creatives and readers.
Do you have any summer plans/trips coming up? I’d love to hear about them. We’re heading to Minnesota (land of 10,000 lakes and a billion mosquitoes) for the first two weeks of July to visit family. My lovely granddaughter is coming with! The below picture is from last year when she also came with us. If you ever get to Minnesota, a visit to the legendary Crosslake Ice Cream Store is a must!
